Booking is now open for the forthcoming ‘Archives and Volunteers’ training event to be held at the Irish Architectural Archive, Dublin, on 22 May 2014.
Organised by the Irish Region, with support from the ARA Training Group and The Heritage Council, the course will cover various aspects of volunteering. It aims to develop an awareness of the opportunities and challenges of working with volunteers. This will be a chance to learn from colleagues and particular emphasis will be given to the sharing of ideas and experiences.
The course will be of interest to anybody working with, or planning to work with, volunteers in the archive sector. This includes both those who co-ordinate the work of volunteers and those working alongside volunteers.

The morning’s speakers will answer delegates’ questions and discuss their experiences in more detail.

Delegates will discuss various scenarios related to volunteering. This session will allow delegates to share their experiences and exchange ideas.

There are 30 places available for this event. The event is FREE for all ARA Members and Irish Heritage Officers. The event costs 20 euro for non-ARA Members/Irish Heritage Officers.
