We are very pleased to announce that the Health Information Specialist team of King's College London Library will be hosting a London LibTeachMeet for 2014.
When and where:
Thursday 12th June 13.30-17.00
Room 1.71, Franklin Wilkins Building, King's College London, Stamford Street, London SE1 9NH.
The theme this year is: Enhancing the student experience through interactivity and engagement.
We are looking for willing presenters who would like to share aspects of their teaching practice with the LibTeachMeet attendees. Presentations will be 5 minutes in length, and can be about any aspect of using interactive tools and elements to increase student engagement and enhance their library experience. For example, you may use games, problem-solving activities, discussion groups, treasure hunts etc. Presentations from all library sectors are welcome.
As well as the presentations, we have two slots for anyone who would like to run a short interactive session for the attendees (approximately 20 minutes), whether it is via a game to be played in groups, or perhaps facilitating a group discussion.
There will be 8 'flash presentation' slots of 2 minutes each which attendees can sign up for on the day, so if you would like to take this up, please let a member of the registration team know upon your arrival.
Booking for this event is now open via the London LibTeachMeet blog http://www.ldnlibtm.info/ - there is no charge to attend this TeachMeet. You can register as either a presenter, activity facilitator or an audience member. Presenters and activity facilitators will then be contacted by email to discuss their content.
