The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is currently seeking to recruit a Research and Insight Officer.
26,800 to £36,200
Two years fixed term or secondment
Kensington and Chelsea is one of the most exciting and diverse areas of London. Understanding and meeting the needs and aspirations of its residents, businesses and visitors is a tough challenge. One that the Council is determined to meet. Our ability to do so depends on having good information and analysis - about people and places, issues and interests, and about wider developments both in London and at the national level. Your job will be to gather, analyse and present information to support evidence based decision making, helping others understand what it is that makes Kensington and Chelsea so special.
Experienced in the interrogation of complex datasets, you will be able to effectively manage concurrent projects with competing deadlines, work with a range of people and act as corporate lead for population statistics.
You will possess a good degree or equivalent qualification, have experience with Geographical Information Systems (ideally ArcView) and be familiar with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. A confident communicator, you will be able to produce reports and briefings for different audiences (e.g. senior managers, residents, Councillors, external agencies etc).
Closing date: 9th May 2014
