Dear colleagues,
We are recruiting two catalogue editors to carry out the analysis and editorial conversion of a backlog of catalogue data for a collection of King's Bench, Exchequer, Court of Common Pleas and related records not yet available to the public.
The editors will reference and improve spreadsheet data for inclusion in The National Archives Discovery catalogue. They will be trained to carry out a simple record condition assessment. There will be a supervised field trip to Deepstore in Cheshire (the UK's largest standards-compliant storage and records management facility). Travel and accommodation expenses will be provided. We are planning a six month extension to the contracts and a second trip to Cheshire towards the end of the project.
