This project centres on the use of performance within digital art practices. More specifically the research will explore cross-disciplinary approaches to the use of the body in digitally-mediated performance. Focusing on the integration of physical interaction with interactive media technology, the research will explore new forms engendered by movement-based technologies. The implication of newer forms of physical computing technology to the health and well-being of both performing artists and the general public is a key research focus of the project.
