At FU Berlin (dept of Math/Computer Science/Bioinformatics), we are currently searching a 5 year faculty member (W2) who is working at the interface of high-performance computing (especially distributed computing, GPU computing or other modern approaches) and particle dynamics (molecular dynamics or reaction-diffusion). There’ll be a starting package (to be negotiated).
Please find below a link to and a short description of the post:

Professorship in High-performance Computing in Molecular Dynamics
(salary grade W2; 5 years)
The successful candidate will be able to combine technological innovation in the area of high-performance computing (e.g. massively distributed computing, cloud computing, GPU software development, FPGA or ASIC design) with applications in molecular- or particle dynamics (e.g. classical molecular dynamics, particle-based reaction kinetics, local electrostatic methods for many-particle systems, Monte-Carlo methods for dense particle systems). Her or his profile should complement the work of the existing research groups at Freie Universität Berlin.
A focus on complex molecular systems, such as biomacromolecules, or particle-based reaction systems is desirable. The appointee should have a record of excellence proven through high-level publications, a distinct research profile and experience acquiring funding for, and carrying out, sponsored research.
