Just a reminder that the deadline for the call for papers for the 2014 ENRGHI conference is fast approaching!

The two day informal conference for ENRGHI 2014 is organised for and by postgraduates and early career researchers and supported by the RGS (with IBG) Geography of Health Research Group provides an excellent opportunity for researchers to showcase work in a welcoming and supportive environment from peers who have a shared interest in the geographies of health and impairment.

The longstanding conference has attracted an international audience and welcomes abstracts from researchers in and outside of geography disciplines who are involved in research in health or health care within a social, geographical or environmental context. The 2014 conference will be co-hosted by University of Portsmouth and University of Southampton and will be held on the 19th and 20th June 2014 in the city of Portsmouth.

To reflect the diversity of research within the broader scope of health and impairment, papers with any theme or topic are invited. However, presenters at previous ENRGHI conferences have showcased work within the following areas:

•	Healthcare delivery and access to services
•	Health inequalities, Environmental justice, Equity
•	Green, blue and healthy spaces
•	Health across the life course
•	Mental health, disability and stigma
•	Health related behaviours
•	Migration and Health
•	Health and Spatial analysis
•	Health and Health care in Developing World

We are delighted to announce that three keynote speakers have been confirmed for ENRGHI 2014:

•	Dr Andrew Tatem (University of Southampton). Andrew is director of the AfriPop, AsiaPop, AmeriPop, Vector-borne Disease Airline Importation Risk and Human Mobility Mapping research projects.
•	Dr Andy Power (University of Southampton). Andy is a lecturer in human geography and was a researcher at the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at the National University of Ireland.
•	Dr Geoff DeVerteuil (University of Cardiff). Geoff is a lecturer in human geography, with research interests in urban geography, geographies of inequality and mental health geographies

We can also confirm a session on how to publish in peer reviewed academic journals will be hosted by Ann Corney, the executive publisher at Elsevier.

Please find attached guidelines for submission. The deadline for abstract submission is 5pm GMT, Friday 21st March 2014. If you know if anyone else who may be interested in submitting an abstract for this conference, then please forward them this call for abstracts.

Registration for the conference will open early 2014, with day delegate rates starting from as little as £40. Further details can be found via our twitter account @ENRGHI14 or on our website www.enrghi14.moonfruit.com/

Thank you

Kind regards

The 2014 ENRGHI Committee
