Dear ASL-Experts!
I am measuring multi-delay pCASL data on a Siemens 3 T scanner and have successfully created perfusion images using BASIL-tools.
Now, I a am not quite sure how to acquire the M0 calibration data.
My Idea would be to use the same pCASL sequence and
1.Turn off Background Suppression
2.Turn off Presaturation
BUT
keep same TR, TE and of course all geometrical properties (FOV, slice thickness etc.)
now:
- Would I also need to measure the calibration image using (analogous) multiple TIs? (asl_perf expects a set of multiple images stacked in the 4th dim.)
- If not, which TI would I choose for the calibration image (currently my PLDs are: 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2., 2.5 - Labeling duration: 1.3).
- Do I need to do averages in the calibration image?
- Can I use the head-coil?
I hope you could point me in the right direction - any help would be greatly appreciated!
Bastian
