Newly launched MA in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies at University of Birmingham (UK)
This interdisciplinary programme offers a cultural, literary, theoretical and historiographical foundation in the field of colonial and postcolonial studies, studying material from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond. Working with World Literature, film and historical sources, the course explores major currents in cultural production and identity politics, preparing students for a wide range of future activities.
Students have the opportunity to study colonial and postcolonial works and critical texts which originated in languages other than English: texts will be taught in English translation, with the possibility to read them in the original modern languages.
