University College Birmingham is looking to appoint an experienced VLE Training and Development Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for training academic staff to become competent in the use of Blackboard and other learning technologies whilst playing a key role in contributing to the wider development priorities of the e-Learning team. The post-holder will also coordinate the setting up of courses and users on the VLE and have a proven track record of managing the day-to-day system administration duties for Blackboard (Blackboard Learn 9.1).
This post requires a mixture of both technical and pedagogical skills along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Expertise in instructional design and creative approaches to problem solving with the ability to apply new skills quickly are essential for this role.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of autonomy to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide a reliable effective service to staff and students within the organisation.
Salary: Up to £34,565 p.a (depending on skills and experience)
