Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce that the latest issue of Aspasia (Vol. 8) has recently been published by Berghahn Journals.
This issue features a special theme section titled Gendering the Cold War. The General Articles section includes three articles that discuss women's engagement in charity, philanthropy, and social reform movements in Carniola, the history of family violence in Soviet Russia and an extensive body of publications on women's and gender history in the pre-1945 period in Hungary under state socialism.
The following sections, The Source and Forum, brings us back to the theme of Gender and the Cold War. The issue concludes with a book review essay, eleven book reviews, and a conference report.
