A leading Consultancy is seeking an intellectually capable and experienced individual to fulfil the position of Senior Statistician. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for this leading Statistics organisation. The purpose of this role will be to independently develop, apply and continually improve our statistical methods in support of bespoke analytical projects.
Role & Responsibilities
• Ensure that project needs are fully met by providing expert and timely statistical deliverables, consultancy and advice.
• Confidently apply a range of statistical techniques that can be used to interrogate attitudinal and transactional purchase data.
• Develop, test and run SAS programs for the statistical analysis of consumer panel data, continually looking to extend the range and/or effectiveness of what we can do.
• Provide or support general methodological input into project pitches and delivery presentations, confidently communicating with business clients.
• Contribute to/lead the development of novel statistical methods, extending the range of what we can do in response to emerging innovations, statistical best practice as well as client led requests.
• Liaise with colleagues and internal client services teams regarding statistical issues and solutions development.
• Maintain knowledge in design consultancy, analysis methodology and statistical software packages (e.g. SAS)
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Educated to degree level in mathematics, statistics or another subject with a strong statistical component.
• PhD or MS in Statistics is desirable
• High level of SAS Base Programming skills and applied experience
• Competence with a range of statistical software and VBA in particular would be desirable
• Significant experience of developing and applying advanced statistical methodologies to business issues
• Ability to translate client needs into statistical practice and the ability to educate clients in the use of statistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and enthusiastic about your specialism
• Independence of thought and able to communicate a valuable point of view
