I use Endnote Web, which is accessible everywhere, like RefWorks. I
originally used RefWorks, but since it is expensive my university
stopped buying access for its staff and students and switched to
EndNote. I was fortunate enough to go through those changes before my
PhD started, and would not have wanted to have to change horses in the
middle of the river, so to speak. So before you decide, I strongly
reccommend checking the availability through your university. What seems
to be a free software might actually be payed by the school, and you
have to be sure they are not going to change that in your research period.
My best, and good luck.

> I wonder if anyone can give me advice on 'Reference Manager' software on my computer. I am looking for a program to manage reference before I start a research project. My very quick search found Mendeley and Zotero but I have no experience of using any before and I do not know what is popular among midwives. I appreciate if anyone can recommend one for me.
