Dear all,
I am a resercher from the Institute of Technolgies Applied to Cultural Heritage, which belongs to the Italian National Research Council (CNR).
My field of interest includes different kinds of research activities dealing with the preservation of Cultural Heritage from natural hazards (such as landslide, earthquakes, etc.) and the study of the interactions between the natural environment and the historical development of a territory. In particular, I have experience on analysis of earthquakes site effetcs on archaelogical sites, urban areas and single monuments as well as on prevention and mitigation of landslide and rock mass failures.
I would like to initiate a proposal concerning the application of multidisciplinary studies - geomorphological analysis, geophysical surveys, archaelogical characterizations - on a reference site aimed to:
i) analyze the local hazard and arrange mitigation strategies;
ii) unravel the interplay between environmental features and the development of the site in terms of catastorphic events, availability of rough materials, exploitation of natural resources, etc;
iii) develop new strategies and policies for the characterization of the "Natural Heritage", intended as the combination between the environment and its anthropic modifications.
I am looking for partners to arrange a project proposal. Partners, who have experience in these field of research or are interested in applying the afore-mentioned research activities to a specifi site of their interest, are welcomed.
With best regards,
Emiliano Di Luzio
