I bought Adobe pdf editor professional. It can be used on 3 machines, and was £35 (not exactly bank-breaking). That's probably because I bought it in PC World, not from a corporate supplier.
It's very good, but a warning to LibreOffice users: sometimes exported .doc files won't open in it for some reason. Otherwise a perfectly workable programme.
Oh, and a warning: do not use PrimoPdf - it's rubbish. Fortunately Access and MapInfo now have their own perfectly usable .pdf export facilities, so we don't use Primo any more.

I've only used it to create PDFs, but some of them created from Word documents had the initial letters at the beginning of titles etc out of line.

Subject: Nitro Pro PDF maker
Hi folks
We are thinking of buying a PDF Pro programme, so we can sort out some of our PDF files, and start converting them to PDF/As (as a VERY long term project...)
Our IT have recommended we buy Nitro Pro 9 as its cheaper than Adobe
It looks from the manual that it can do what we need it too, and its got some good reviews online, but thought I would ask if anyone has had any experience of it?
tar
best wishes
