Dear experts,
I have been working with various structural MRI tools in order to obtain brain volumes. I have done this analyses, with the command included at the bottom of the message, with SPM8 as well as with SIENAX and I have obtained different results. All the values are smaller with SPM8, for example the same subtect white matter volume with SPM8=428708,00 and with SIENAX=564892,83. Have I make any mistake? or it could be due to different underlying algorithms in the analysis?
P = spm_select(Inf,'image','Select images');
for j=1:size(P,1),
V = spm_vol(deblank(P(j,:)));
vol = 0;
for i=1:V.dim(3),
img = spm_slice_vol(V,spm_matrix([0 0 i]),V.dim(1:2),0);
img = img(finite(img));
vol = vol + sum(img(:));
end;
voxvol = abs(det(V.mat(1:3,1:3)))*1e-6 ;
fprintf('%g voxels, %g litres\n', vol, vol*voxvol) ;
I look forward to your response,
Oiane.
