Edinburgh International Science Festival are looking for Science Communicators
The 2014 Edinburgh International Science Festival will run from 5 to 20 April and we are looking for Science Communicators to work for us!
The role involves interacting with children and young people, taking them through exciting events in our fun-filled festival venues including: City Art Centre, the National Museum of Scotland, Summerhall and The Centre in Livingston. You will be part of a team delivering entertaining, hands-on events during the Festival. You will need to successfully engage your audience and assist in set-up and delivery to ensure your event runs smoothly.
Candidates should have confident communication skills, a passion for presenting and experience of working with children. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals; an interest or knowledge of science is beneficial but not essential as we provide full training. There are part time and full time positions available so please specify your preference on application.
You will be required to attend the following mandatory training sessions:
Science Communication Training Saturday 29 March
Event Training Wednesday 2 April or Friday 4 April
