Dear New Media Curating List
The Royal College of Art has been working with FACT in Liverpool on a
fascinating exhibition about the impact of digital media on our working
lives. For a nice digest of the works and curatorial intention see

Over the next couple of weeks RCA doctoral researchers, funded through the
AHRC Creative Exchange Hub, will be holding public
workshops in the co-working space in the foyer of FACT on topics such as
automation, graphic commons, make your own dream machine and do you know
your browser history? More information at: http:://

On 6 March we're hosting a series of discussions and book launch at the RCA
in Battersea. The Time & Motion - Redefining Working Life book has been
published by Liverpool University Press and has a series of essays about
art, work, labour, value, digitisation, shifts and social transformation.
Please see http://tiny.cc/zpmtax for publication details.
Same evening at Battersea we will have a special screening of 'The Big Melt
- How Steel Made Us Hard' a film
made by directors Martin Wallace and Jarvis Cocker reflecting on working
life when steel was driving English industry and drawing in an
extraordinary way on British Film Institute digital archive footage.
Entry to these events is free but to estimate numbers for the reception at
book launch on 6 March we would ask you to register at:

Please feel free to forward to anyone who may find this research and
discussion relevant.
Many thanks.
