Mike,
The conference programme is currently at the planning stage - hence
the prompt on calls for papers, but you can guarantee there will be a
wide range of papers particularly on mining in Australia, New Zealand
and other parts of the south-eastern Pacific rim.
Only one mine visit is flagged up so far - Ravenswood is situated
south-east of Charters Towers. It was North Queensland's first
reefing field from 1868 and in 2013 is being operated by Carpentaria
Gold, a subsidiary of Resolute Mining. The townscape is a
photographer's nirvana. - and I can vouch for the latter statement.
More will follow.
