MmITS Visit to the BFI Mediatheque at Bridgeton Library

The CILIP Multimedia Information and Technology Group (Scotland)
invites you to attend a visit to the BFI Mediatheque at Bridgeton
Library at 1.30pm on Wednesday 26th of February 2014.
The BFI Mediatheque at Bridgeton Library is a fantastic new facility,
unique to Scotland and housed within the newly renovated Olympia
Cinema site. It holds a specially commissioned collection of Scottish
film and television, entitled ?Scottish Reels?, covering more than a
century of Scottish life and culture drawn from the BFI National
Archive and the Scottish Screen Archive.
Join the MmITS group for a tour of this exciting new venue and the
chance to learn from a hands-on workshop using the bespoke viewing
stations, accessing over 2,000 clips that range from home movies, to
children?s television, to documentaries, many of which have not been
seen since they were first broadcast.
