Dear colleagues,
I am writing to publicise a research workshop on “Understanding neoliberalism in the postsocialist region” to be held at King’s College London on Mon 17 March 2014. This free one-day workshop is designed to provide an informal and supportive space for researchers of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union to consider and perhaps re-consider how neoliberalism is implicated in their own work. We aim for approximately 30 participants to ensure relaxed discussion and networking. Programme as follows:

15.45-16.30: Michael Rasell, University of Lincoln – anthropology of welfare state, Russia
16.30-17.15: Armine Ishkanian, London School of Economics – development/civil society, Armenia
17.15-17.30: Final reflections
