I have also tweeted this article as I too found it worth disseminating to wider audiences. Definitely worth a read!

Just worth letting you know on the back of that that I've found some of the material in Occupied times really interesting. Just tweeted and article by someone called Arran James (from the last one possibly). Really interesting stuff on 'democratic' psychiatry.

Subject: [COMMUNITYPSYCHUK] Occupied Times event London - Occupy movement and Mental Health
Dear all
Just to promote another event happening in London on the 1st March that people may be interested in.
Occupied Times #24 launch:
‘ Mental Health, Madness, Mental Suffering'
with contributors from the issue alongside Mark Fisher and Joanna Moncrieff
Housmans Bookshop, King's Cross, London http://www.housmans.com/events.php
Saturday 1st March, 6.30pm
Free Entry
The Occupied Times (newspaper of the Occupy movement UK) will be launching their 24th Issue, which has a particular focus on the politics of mental health and contemporary themes surrounding the ideas and lived experiences of madness: its intersection with gender and race struggles, the relationship of the state and capitalism, the role of drugs and psychiatry, and the possibilities for resistance and transformation in the midst of undoubted suffering.
There will be a facilitated discussion following brief talks from some of the contributors to this issue including Mark Fisher and Joanna Moncrieff.
There will be plenty of copies available for people to take with them for themselves and their communities.

Maybe see you there?
Best wishes
Sally
