Hi Helen
We do not have a lab analyser and therefore use the machine closest to where the staff member works. If a sample needs to be analysed during the training session we step aside and this serves as a demonstration of the procedure (and allows us to observe if that staff member is following the process correctly). We sometimes have small groups at a time so it can become a bit congested around an analyser but groups rarely exceed 5 staff members. They are then enrolled for eLearning. I hope this helps.
Regards
Tony

Hi colleagues
Wondering how do you manage training for POCT on blood gas for example.
We don’t have one in the lab & trying to use one on our busy wards is difficult.
Do you have an analyser specifically for training?
Kind regards
Helen
