Dear all
I thought this upcoming event at the British Library may be of interest to you or your contacts.
Doctoral Open Day: Media, Cultural Studies and Journalism
24 February / 10.00 – 16.30 / £5
The British Library is a crucial source of news and media content across all formats. Our vast newspaper collections cover national and local press of all kinds, as well as magazines. We are archiving websites about significant events, to ensure that these vital sources are not lost. In our Reading Rooms you can access hundreds of thousands of TV and radio programmes, including all news broadcast in the UK since 2010.
Our Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. At this event you will learn about our news and media collections, find out how to access them, and meet our expert staff and other researchers in your field. The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
A small number of £20 travel bursaries are available for students coming from outside Greater London.

All the best,
Melissa Byrd
