Morning
We currently supply at the rate of 1 invigilator to 50 students and must have at least two invigilators in a venue even if numbers are less than 50.
If there are a large number of different exams being run in the same venue we would, if possible, add an extra invigilator - simply because this speeds up the collection process at the end and helps us with our turn round times.
We do the same for our Exam adjustment students, who are generally in smaller venues. Even if we have one student using a PC in a venue on their own we provide two invigilators.
If a student has a scribe or reader we still provide an invigilator as the scribe shouldn't be invigilating.
I have a pool of about 80 external invigilators from which I can draw.
Hope this helps
Kind regards

Subject: Exam Invigilators
I'm presently in the process of reviewing our exam invigilation arrangements, especially in respect of our Alternative Examination Venues. I think we are running our exams too leanly but need some evidence to back this up! If anyone is willing to let me know how many students per invigilator you would normally have for your examinations, that would be a great help to me.
Many thanks
