Hello all--Could anyone point me to information on an Irish-English construction, such as the following:
American-English: I enjoyed that party very much.
Irish-English: I very enjoyed that party.
I have a student who uses this construction, and we were hoping to gather more information on its history and variation within Irish English. Moreover, are there parallel constructions in other English varieties?
Thanks to anyone who may be able to offer some help!
Best,
Clare
