Hello,
Our debate about Access vs Environment will be held at the University of Central Lancashire on 12th February. We hope the combination of speakers talking about case studies of where decisions had to be made in favour of either access or environment will provoke a lively discussion amongst the audiences in Preston and on-line.
The confirmed speakers are:
Professor Lynn Anderson from the State University of New York
Dr Jamie McPhie from the University of Cumbria
Kathryn Beardmore Director of Park Services, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, UK
Robin Horner Reserve Manager for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, UK
The debate will be chaired by UCLan's Professor of Tourism and Development, Richard Sharpley and is hosted by the Outdoors Team at the University.
We welcome contributions to the debate through Twitter @uclanoutdoors #outdoorsdebate and would be grateful if you could forward this information to others in your organisation who might be interested.
The event will be streamed live if you would like to participate and the video will be made available afterwards.

PLEASE NOTE: There may be a delay in me dealing with your email as I am participating in UCU industrial action by ‘working to contract’ in support of the union’s campaign for fair pay in higher education.
