Following comments on Sheffield's problems uploading data to the Tier-1,
I thought I'd look at why Steve's network tests don't work to the Tier-1.
Tests are at:
http://pprc.qmul.ac.uk/~lloyd/gridpp/nettest.html
Steve currently does (as an ATLAS user):
lcg-cr -v -t 140 --vo atlas -d srm-dteam.gridpp.rl.ac.uk -l
lfn:/grid/atlas/users/lloyd/data_100mb_25_Jan_2014_08_56_00
file:/mnt/data/scratch/lcg/atlas008/home_cream_144560816/CREAM144560816/data_100mb
One clear problem is that srm-dteam doesn't advertise any atlas storage
- but srm-atlas does. Even doing that, the command fails - see below.
If we can work out why that doesn't work, we can get Steve's tests
working to the Tier-1.
Here's the command I used.
walker@heppc400:/tmp$ lcg-cr -v -t 140 --vo atlas -d
srm-atlas.gridpp.rl.ac.uk -l lfn:/grid/atlas/users/walker/cjtest
file:/tmp/cjtest
