"Motivational Interviewing Preparing People for Behavior Change: Theory and Skill Building Training Seminar" will be held on March 17, 18 & 19, 2014, at the Hotel Beacon in New York City.
This multi-disciplinary training seminar has open enrollment, it is open to 30 participants. Participants attend from across the country and internationally.
The course yields 18 clock hours certified by NY State OASAS and a certificate of course completion will be awarded to all participants.
Included is the practice of highly effective evidence-based motivational interviewing processes, core skills, strategies and theory, the Miller and Rollnick model; the Stages of Change (Prochaska & DiClemente); compatible Cognitive Behavioral therapy strategies and interventions; and other pertinent topics and skills -see course outline at link.
This course includes new material from MI3.
This evidence-based training is highly relevant and effective in our work with clients who have various discrete and co-occurring disorders and for various behavior change areas across numerous systems of care, both clinical and non-clinical. This includes: behavioral health care and primary health care; corrections; education; EAP; homeless services; vocational rehabilitation and more. It is effective for both adult and adolescent populations.
