Tragic event well celebrated and organised by by incredibly efficient Maori wider family of Wilma, Max. I only met her once but she married a good friend's recently widowed brother, a Culcairn man. Their first holiday after less than a year of marriage. I didn t feel I could build the poem any more but I was very moved by the occasion.
Can't recall now whether Wilma's feet were on display as in the Stevens poem but for three days she had at least one person either side of her until the final ceremony got underway.
