(Apologies for cross-posting)
Hello all,
I have been asked by our student Disability Officer to look into the provision of textbook-style materials made available for students with disabilities. At the moment I have been looking at the information they provide on their websites about this. They seem to offer material in an electronic format as opposed to print. However, if a student has very impaired vision, or is blind, do these come with the functionality of being read out, or provided in braille?
The Disability Officer is holding a meeting soon with students and will gather specific requirements, but it would be good if I could present an overview of what can be available.
I wonder if anyone who has supplied material in these circumstances before would be willing to share their experiences with me.
Kind regards,
Rachel
