ARLG study conferences are known for their friendly and collaborative atmosphere alongside a wide range of excellent workshops and plenary speakers.. The 2014 ARLG Study Conference, entitled 'Academic Libraries: The Final Frontier', is to be held at the University of Sussex from 23-25 June 2014 and ARLG North East is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a place to allow one lucky person to attend.
The sponsorship offer includes a full-delegate package including accommodation . This will also include travel costs to and from the conference ( 2nd class rail fare only with all other costs to be met by the successful candidate). To be eligible you must be a personal member of CILIP, be currently living, working or studying in the North East* in an FE, HE or research library and a first time delegate to an ARLG conference.
To apply please email me (Helen Ashton at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) approximately 200 words describing how your attendance at the conference will impact on your professional development and how you plan to share your conference experience with others, including the ARLG North East community. The successful applicant will have to write a short report on the conference for ARLG which will be used for publication. Please also include your CILIP membership number, your job title and the name of your institution. Applications must be received by midday on March 3rd 2014 and applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by Friday March 22nd 2014.
