Subject: Addition to the Religious Archives Group website [UNCLASSIFIED]
I am delighted to say that the Advice and Guidance section on the RAG website has been supplemented with 'Archives for Beginners', an introduction to looking after religious archives based on a training course run by The National Archives and RAG in June 2013.
http://religiousarchivesgroup.org.uk/welcome/advice/rag/
Like that course, it is aimed at volunteers and administrators who find themselves with responsibility for historic records and archives but who have little or no professional knowledge, training or oversight. It offers a basic introduction to those new to principles and practices of archives, and may serve as a refresher for those who have already received some instruction.
Apologies to anyone who receives this email twice.
