Dear colleagues
This is just a reminder that the deadline by which any candidates interested in applying for the ESRC-funded PhD studentship in Information Science should note their interest is **next Monday 20th January**.
Many thanks

Subject: ESRC-funded studentship in Information Science - call for applications
With apologies for cross-posting
**Are you interested in pursuing a PhD in Information Science, or do you know someone else who would like to do so?**
The member institutions of the Information Science Pathway of the ESRC Social Science Graduate School Doctoral Training Centre are currently welcoming enquiries from candidates interested in making an application for an ESRC-funded PhD place through this year's open competition. The applications are due by 7th March 2014. The successful applicant will take up the place in autumn 2014.
There are further details of the studentship and the departments where it may be based on the Information Science Pathway's web site at: http://www.infosciscotland.ac.uk/studentships.html
It is important that candidates contact the institutional rep of the department of their choice by 20th January 2014 (and preferably sooner) so that we can meet the deadlines for both the institutional and ESRC application processes for studentships. The reps are:
Edinburgh Napier - Professor Hazel Hall: [log in to unmask]
Glasgow - Dr Ian Anderson: [log in to unmask]
Strathclyde - David McMenemy: [log in to unmask]
Robert Gordon - Professor Peter Reid: [log in to unmask]
NB all applications to the ESRC for 7th March deadline need to be supported by one of the Information Science Pathway representatives listed above, hence the requirement for potential applicants to contact the institutional rep of the department of their choice by 20th January.
Many thanks
Hazel
