Folks,

It's really helpful to have your feedback - thanks Megan, Deborah, Alan and Tony. It would be even more helpful if a few more members could give their input to Elise as she plans our next meeting.

Don't be shy :-). As ever, all contributions are welcome, and here's looking forward to seeing you again in Luton.

Best regards

David

I'm already committed to a concert on March 1st which has been booked
for a long time and as I'm in most of the numbers can't get out of,
might be able to come for the first bit.

Text and interpretation would be good things to include and collections
policy would also be very useful. The Historic Buildings Network want
to look at the same thing so you might wannt to extend an invitiation to
their members as well, although admittedly they are looking specifically
at building interpretation, some of them will also need to be looking at
difficult objects - how to interpret something which should be moving
but which isn't such as dairy machinery or laundry equipment. If anyone
has ever used a mangle they will know this does fall into the category
of dangerous, even if you don't have to start a fire under it to get it
going.

As you know the underlying theme still for the network for the next few
meetings is health and safety in many different ways. It would seem
very sensible therefore to include how you did the risk
assessments/planning etc for Stockton in terms of having heavy machinery
around that people have a tendancy to climb on and how this has been
managed since opening. Also, even going as far as having a large site
and managing that, and methods of protection for large machinery, as it
something that so many of the HEN have in common.
