The School of Applied Linguistics at the ZHAW invites applications for a part-time post as Lecturer in English - (60 - 70%, initially 60%) in the English Section of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, commencing 1 August 2014.
The position involves approximately ten hours of teaching per week primarily in the following disciplines:
German-English (non-literary) translation
Applied Linguistics (including text analysis and grammar theory)
You are of English mother tongue, are proficient in German, possess a post-graduate degree in Modern Languages, Translation Studies, and/or Applied Linguistics and have relevant experience of teaching in an academic environment. A teaching qualification, experience in course design and development and an interest in translation research would be a distinct advantage.
You are flexible, have good people skills and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
