You could try these for starters:

http://www.statsoft.com/Textbook
Any standard introductory text for mathematical statistics and probability should also cover the basics.

Subject: [FSL] Recommended readings to understand the statistics in Premutation Testing and Multi-Subject Stats
Hello,
Happy New Year!
I am trying to go through: Permutation Testing (Randomise) and Multi-Subject Stats lecture part1, part2 in
http://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fslcourse/
When I looked at the first few pages of lecture part 1, I already found some of the terms such as classical inference and formulas from page 7 and on unfamiliar. Could anybody please recommend several easy to understand books that I should read in order to understand all the statistical concepts mentioned in these two lecture notes?
Thank you.
