There are two new, exiting posts in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at Nottingham University. Following the introduction of two joint-honours undergraduate programmes (BA Criminology & Sociology; and BA Criminology & Social Policy) and a master’s programme (MA Criminology & Criminal Justice) the School is looking to appoint a Chair and a Lecturer in Criminology:
Chair in Criminology
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with established and internationally recognised excellence and reputation in criminology. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. They will lead the management of, and contribute teaching to, two new joint-honours undergraduate programmes (BA Criminology & Sociology; BA Criminology & Social Policy) and a master’s programme (MA Criminology & Criminal Justice). There will be opportunities for doctoral supervision and they will be expected to make an active contribution to the success of the School.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in a relevant area and extensive experience of teaching criminology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Experience of generating external research funding, publishing in high quality peer-reviewed outlets and dissemination of research findings is essential.

Lecturer in Criminology

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. There will be opportunities for doctoral supervision and they will be expected to make an active contribution to the success of the School.
The successful candidate must have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area and experience of teaching criminology at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience of publishing in peer-reviewed outlets and dissemination of research findings is essential.
