Yes, I should have said that this the same for us - our aim is not to edit acceptable RDA records, even if they're not exactly how we'd have done it had we started from scratch in-house. There is only so much time we all have!

Yes, from the deriving point of view there's only so much one can do. During the British Library's implementation, we carried out an analysis of records being derived from various sources and found a fair degree of variability in terms of RDA application. However, unless information was actually incorrect, we did not generally seek to amend it.

It feels like consistency is going out the window because downloaded records vary so much, especially in the number of added author entries. We try very hard not to delete anything from downloaded records so have some records with just the first person in an access point and others with 15. Sometimes there is little authority work to do but on other occasions it has been quite onerous.
