Swansea University, College of Science has been successful in obtaining
funding from the Economic and Social Research Council for a longitudinal
qualitative research project to explore 'Experiences of social security and
prospects for long-term settlement in Scotland amongst migrants from Central
Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union'. The postholder will work with a
team of researchers at the Centre for Migration Policy Research, University
of Swansea and School of Social and Political Sciences (Central and East
European Studies), University of Glasgow, as well as with a range of project
partners including local authorities, migrant and community organisations,
to generate new academic insight and develop practical and policy outcomes
and solutions through the use of participatory action research.
