MRC Network of Hubs for Trials Methodology Research PhD studentships
Locations across the UK
In an exciting development for clinical trials research in the UK, the MRC Network of Hubs for Trials Methodology Research is launching a new programme of PhD studentships to tackle important uncertainties and build research capacity. Applications from EU nationals are invited for places on this programme, at various locations across the UK.
Students will undertake one of the advertised projects, which have been chosen as strategic priority for trials methodology research. Applicants can apply for up to three projects, but a separate application must be submitted for each project applied for.
The MRC Network of Hubs for Trials Methodology Research is supported by the Medical Research Council, with a focus on improving health by improving trials. It comprises six Hubs, with bases in more than a dozen universities across the UK.
Studentship Description
Sixteen projects have been prioritised in this first wave, and high calibre candidates will be funded to undertake these. In order to be short-listed for interviews, interested candidates must discuss their interest with the relevant PhD supervisor before submitting their application. Interviews will take place in London on 4 or 18 March 2014.

Full details on each project, including a summary of the project, and the supervisor’s contact details, and how to apply are available at www.methodologyhubs.mrc.ac.uk
