Dear colleagues,
I’m wondering what people’s thoughts are on the subject of Augmented Reality (AR), and its use predominantly with regards to the archive profession. Looking from the premise does the digital record undermine access to the physical I’m currently researching, for a master’s dissertation, the role of emerging technology (principally Augmented Reality – the viewing of digital content overlaid onto reality) in advocating and providing access to public archives. As part of it, I would really appreciate if you could fill out my online survey to give the information professional’s perspective on the subject (including if you are not sure what AR is).
Complementary to a tea break, the survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and all responses will be anonymous. Pop the kettle on, sit back and please click on the following link to access the survey: http://www.survey.dundee.ac.uk/ar-and-publicarchives-professional-viewpoint/
For added entertainment the survey has been tagged with an ‘aura’ to allow responders to play around with using Augmented Reality within it (click into the survey to learn how).
If you have any issues/questions regarding the survey or want to contact me separately about the subject please don’t hesitate to send me an email ([log in to unmask]). The survey will close on 16th February.
Best Wishes,
Siân Hewitt
