Assistant Records Manager/Archivist

The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural sciences through public engagement.
Reporting to the Museum Archivist and Records Manager, you will assist with a full range of archives and records management tasks, including the development and implementation of retention schedules, and providing training for staff. You will provide an Archives service to staff and to the public, undertaking enquiry work and looking after readers.
You will have a postgraduate qualification in archives and/or records management, and previous archives and records management experience. As a confident communicator with an ability to work on your own initiative, you should demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach, and the ability to work in a small team.
