Lambeth Palace Library (www.lambethpalacelibrary.org) is the historic library and archive of the Archbishops of Canterbury and the principal library and record office for the history of the Church of England. The Library's rich collections focus on ecclesiastical history, but are also important for an immense variety of topics, such as architecture, colonial history, local history and genealogy.
The holder of this new post will contribute fully to the Library’s work in relation to its collections of archives and manuscripts, including appraisal, Reading Room and enquiry services, and outreach.
With a professional qualification in archives management, you should also have demonstrable experience of archive appraisal, which will be a main focus of the post. You will have good IT skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and methodically.
