Hi,
New CernVM-FS Stratum-0 and Stratum-1 services v2.1.15 purposed to serve the non-LHC VOs have been deployed at RAL Tier-1.
At the moment nine repositories are hosted on the new Stratum-0 server with the Stratum-1 server replicating them (plus one external repository).
In order to access this new services, site administrators at sites supporting CernVM-FS for various non-LHC VOs are required to slightly change the clients configuration, mainly
CVMFS_SERVER_URL="[log in to unmask];http://cvmfs-stratum-one.cern.ch:8000/opt/@[log in to unmask]" target="_blank">http://cvmfs-egi.gridpp.rl.ac.uk:8000/cvmfs/@[log in to unmask];http://cvmfs-stratum-one.cern.ch:8000/opt/@[log in to unmask]"
i.e. 'cernvmfs.gridpp.rl.ac.uk' has been replaced by 'cvmfs-egi.gridpp.rl.ac.uk' for the *.gridpp.ac.uk repositories.
Also as you probably know, if you are still using any CernVM-FS 2.0 components (mainly CernVM-FS clients), there is a request (and deadline - 31 March 2014) to upgrade them to v2.1.
Note: CernVM-FS clients v2.0 are not able to access Stratum-0 v2.1 repositories, so the change on CVMFS_SERVER_URL variable makes sense only on clients v2.1. Otherwise clients v2.0 will be able to access only five Stratum-0 v2.0 repos which will be kept in parallel until end of March 2014.
