Dear Joanne
We have just introduced a new system: we supply a clear plastic bag on each desk (about the size of a medium food bag) in which the student places his/her watch face up, regardless of the type of watch used.
They also put their mobile phones - switched off and face down - in the same plastic bag which has alleviated the permanent ringing of phones hidden in mountains of rucksacks!
We'll be reviewing this initiative after the exam period ends, but it seems to have worked pretty well. Our only problem is that students are taking the plastic bags with them and they are reappearing as pencil cases in later exams!
I don't know how we're going to deal with Google Glass......
Best wishes
Jackie

Subject: Smart Watches in exams
Dear all
With the advancement of technology and now that there are "Smart" watches available that allow access to the Internet and storage of information - can you please advise on what methods you are adopting to counter act this in exams. -
I will collate responses and send round to the group.
Many thanks
