The Assessment Tomorrow 2014 Edinburgh Conference: 8th Scottish e-Assessment Conference
“Digital by default-digital by design” - Grosvenor Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh 30th January 2014
Announcing our eighth annual Scottish conference! Working with SQA and looking at the practical issues of selecting, implementing and using e-Assessment and related technologies and techniques.
Scotland has been at the forefront of developing and implementing learning that is assessed using the latest IT and ICT techniques and technologies. The conference speakers will, through a range of presentations and case studies, look at how technology should now be seen as the “default” mechanism used for assessment and how technology can be used to help design more effective and reliable assessment.
The conference will be chaired by Professor Cliff Beevers, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, and will take as its focus the theme “Digital by default-digital by design” and looks at how using technology should now be a the delivery method of choice, bringing benefits for the learner, teacher and school, college or training provider.
Come along and help us examine some of these changes and the impact they are having on both formative and summative assessment. The fee for the conference is £190 per delegate plus VAT. Bookings made before the 24th December 2013 are eligible for a discount rate of £175 per delegate plus VAT. Bookings can be made using the attached brochure or online at
