Hi all,
I have an experiments that contains three type of movement: slow
movement, mid movement, and fast movement.
How can I see the effects of changing the speed movement on different
brain regions?
For example, what I would like to do is to create 10 ROIs. Then I
would like to see the beta value of these ROIs at each level of
movement. Then I would like to plot this relation. I want to do this
at the group level.
What I have done at the within subject level is the following:
I defined three regressors : slow, mid, and fast.
I then defined four contrast: slow vs rest, mid vs rest, fast vs rest,
and the summation of ( slow + mid + fast ) vs rest.
I thought of the following:
I do a between subject analysis : one sample t test of the summation
contrast, then I defined the ROIs. But here is the missing part for me
how to see the effect of movement speed on these ROIs.
I found a paper that is somehow similar to what I would like to do.
However, they did not use SPM and they used a two way anova.
Keisker, Birgit, et al. "Differential force scaling of fineāgraded
power grip force in the sensorimotor network." Human brain mapping
30.8 (2009): 2453-2465.
I really would like to to get similar approach to what they did and
similar observation or results.
So any advice will be for sure appreciated,
Many thanks,
Aser S
