PhD Position at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at
Innsbruck University, Austria
We offer a 3-year PhD position (30 hours/week) starting as soon as possible
in the field of theoretical high energy astrophysics at the Institute for
Theoretical Physics at Innsbruck University. The candidate is expected to
work on models for non-thermal emission of massive binary star systems and
particle acceleration, and to collaborate with the Astroparticle Physics
group at Innsbruck University. The position is part of a FWF funded project
of Assoc.-Prof. Dr. Anita Reimer at Innsbruck University. The remuneration
(including benefits) is according to the Austrian FWF salary scale.
Applicants are expected to hold a Master degree / diploma in physics,
astrophysics or astronomy. Good knowledge of astroparticle physics and/or
gamma-ray astrophysics with strong interest in theory, experience in
programming and good English language skills are required.
