I've had the following from Kett Kennedy the convenor for the
forthcoming International Mining History Congress in Charters Towers,
Queensland, Australia - 7-11 July 2014.
The updates to the CT2014 website will start very soon. Several
esoteric and attractive papers and presentations have already been
offered. I am confident that the Congress/Conference will be a
rewarding experience. The good news for many potential overseas
registrants is that in the last six months the exchange rate has
become more favourable: AUD/US$ has depreciated from 1.11 to .889,
and the Australian Reserve Bank is aiming at a ratio of 0.85 to 1.00
(US$) within the next three months.
Please spread the word among colleagues and friends that the
opportunity beckons.
